Our commitment

Secure Choice Mortgage strives to ensure that our services are accessible to people with disabilities. We believe every person has the right to engage with our products, content, and team with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

We have invested time and resources into making our website easier to use and more accessible, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project.

02.

Standards we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

In addition, we work to align our practices with applicable U.S. laws and guidance, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

How we work to make this site accessible

Our website is built on the Squarespace platform, which provides a foundation of accessibility features we extend and reinforce through design and content choices, including:

  • Semantic HTML structure throughout the site so screen readers can navigate content in a logical order;
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background colors;
  • Alt text on meaningful images, with decorative images marked appropriately;
  • Keyboard-navigable controls, links, and form fields;
  • Visible focus indicators when navigating with a keyboard;
  • Clear, descriptive link text and button labels;
  • Responsive layouts that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices;
  • Forms with associated labels, accessible error messages, and logical tab order;
  • Avoidance of content that flashes, blinks, or moves in ways that could trigger seizures or vestibular issues.
04.

Browser and assistive technology compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, including:

  • Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop;
  • Recent versions of Chrome and Safari on iOS and Android;
  • Screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), and NVDA (Windows);
  • Standard keyboard navigation including Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys.

If you use a different browser or assistive technology and encounter accessibility issues, please let us know so we can investigate.

05.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on our website fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be the result of:

  • Third-party content (such as embedded forms, maps, or scripts) that we do not directly control;
  • User-generated content from team members or partners that has not yet been fully reviewed;
  • Older content that predates our current accessibility standards.

We work to identify and remediate these issues on an ongoing basis. If you encounter content on our site that is not accessible, please contact us using the information below.

06.

Third-party content

Our website may include links to or embeds from third-party services (for example, NMLS Consumer Access, Google Maps, social media platforms, or our online application portal). We are not responsible for the accessibility of websites or content operated by third parties.

If you experience difficulty accessing third-party content linked from our site, we encourage you to contact the third party directly. You can also contact us, and we will do our best to provide the relevant information through an alternative accessible channel where possible.

07.

Feedback and assistance

If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on our website or require assistance with any part of our site, please contact us during normal business hours and we will be happy to assist. Whether you need help reading a document, completing a form, or finding information, we are committed to providing an alternative accessible channel of communication.

Report an accessibility issue

If you wish to report an accessibility issue, have any questions, or need assistance, please contact us through the form on our Contact page. We aim to respond to all accessibility inquiries within two business days.

08.

Accessibility is not a destination but an ongoing process. We review feedback, audit our content, and update this statement as our efforts evolve. We welcome suggestions on how we can make our website more accessible. If something is not working for you, please tell us — your feedback helps us improve.
